Home: Pastor Cal was born and raised on a family farm near Columbus, NE.  

Education: He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing while playing for the UNO Men’s Basketball Team where he was an All-American and All-Academic athlete.  Upon graduation, Pastor Cal spent 5 years in sales and marketing before God led him and his family to move to St. Louis to attend Concordia Seminary in 2011 to become a pastor.  

Experience: Since graduation from the Seminary in 2015, Pastor Cal has served at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Liberty Missouri and then Christ Lutheran Church and School in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.  

Personal: Pastor Cal and his wife have 4 children.  As a family they enjoy many sporting activities, outdoor activities, and anything where they can meet new people and build friendships.

Home: Pastor Carretto is a native of New York City, NY. 

Education: He graduated from St John's College in Winfield, KS with an AA degree in Biblical Languages. He then attended Concordia Senior College in Fort Wayne, IN, graduating with a BA degree. He then attended Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne receiving his Master of Divinity graduating in 2001. 

Experience: His first call into the ministry was a dual parish in Wymore, NE and Summerfield, KS. He then became associate pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grand Island, NE. He later accepted a Call to St Paul Lutheran Church in Wisner, NE. He retired in 2019 and moved to Norfolk.

Personal: He is married to Becky (nee Larson) Carretto, and they have four children, seventeen grandchildren.

Did you know? His hobbies include playing the guitar and beating Pastor Moreno at pickleball.

Home: Cori grew up in Southern California

Education: Cori attended Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, she studied Psychology, Youth and Family Ministry, and earned her Director of Christian Education certification. 

Personal: While at Concordia She met her husband, Luke. They have a daughter and a boy/girl set of twins. 

Did you know? Cori's family loves camping, cooking, going to Costco (one of us), and hunting (the other one of us.) 

Home: Ann grew up on a family farm outside of Clinton, MO. 

Education: She graduated from Concordia Nebraska in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in K-12 Vocal and Instrumental Music Education. In 2022 she received her master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. 

Experience: She spent seven years at Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Rockledge, FL as the director of music for both the church and school. In 2018, she moved to Janesville, WI where she was the director of music for St. Paul's Lutheran Church and School.

Did you know? One of her favorite Bible verses is "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God." Colossians 3:16

Lynn Walmsley started working at Christ Lutheran Church, May of 2012. Her main duties include everything in the office, sorting mail, answering the phone, sorting and recording the offerings, emailing boards, working with clickers and so much more. I have been married to Jeff for 37 years and they have 3 daughters, and 2 grandchildren.  I enjoy spending time with my family and working in my garden.  God chose me for Christ Lutheran and I love everything about it.

Starla began working at Christ Lutheran in February 1992 as a secretary, working specifically with membership and weekly publications.  Over time, her role with membership has expanded into the area of Congregational Care.  She is a trained Stephen Ministry Leader overseeing this one-on-one caregiving program.  Communication with many of the elderly and homebound individuals on a regular basis, as well as grief follow-up are important aspects of the care ministry.  Starla has also served as a church organist since high school graduation and is involved in the music ministry.   A graduate of Wayne State College, Starla earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.  She and her husband, Jerry, have one son Thomas and his spouse, Emilea.  Together they enjoy Cardinal baseball games, traveling and home improvement projects

Home: Kenzie Pasold  is a native to Wichita, KS.

Education: She attended Kansas Wesleyan University earning her degree in Christian Leadership. 

Personal: She is married to Garret and together they have one son who attends CLS.

Did you Know? Kenzie's family is the 4th generation to attend Christ Lutheran Church.

Home: Principal Urban is a Seward, Nebraska native.  

Education: He attended St. John’s Lutheran School in Seward, Seward High School, and Concordia University where he majored in Secondary Education with an emphasis in social studies.  

Experience: Drew began his ministry at Lutheran South Academy in Houston from 2007-2019 where he taught 6th and 7th social studies from 2007-2014.  The last five years at LSA, he was the lower school assistant principal for grades PreK-5th.  He coached middle school basketball and baseball during his time there.  Drew accepted the call to be principal at Christ Lutheran the spring of 2019.  

Personal: He is married to his wife Tina.  They have two children, Alexis and Ryan.
