What We Believe

We believe in and confess before all people the Triune God who revealed Himself to us through Scripture, by which His Holy Spirit works in Word and Sacrament through the two doctrines of Law and Gospel.

As children of God we are called to Discipleship, which takes form in our families, our work and our citizenship.

We respond to the call of discipleship because we Value All Human Life and have been given the responsibility of the Stewardship of this world until the Triumphant Return of Jesus to establish a New Heaven and a New Earth for all eternity.

  • Triune God

We confess one God in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

  • Scripture

The Old and New Testaments are the inspired word of God, given so that we might know God and faithfully live in the relationship for which He calls.

  • Word and Sacrament

Baptism invites us to life in the Body of Christ. Holy Communion strengthens us to live as God's people through the presence of Jesus' true Body and Blood. In the Word of God we come to know both Law and Gospel. The Law convicts us of our sin while the Gospel reveals salvation through Jesus' passion, death and resurrection.

  • Discipleship

God's Word encourages and invites us into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ through Bible study, fellowship and activity with other Christians. Our Discipleship is shown in our families where we love, honor and provide for one another, raising our children in the fear and love of God. Discipleship is shown in our vocation, God given posts of responsibility in which we model Christ-like love to those who work with us. Finally, our discipleship is modeled in us as citizens who take part in voting, holding office, and obeying our God-provided leaders.

  • Value All Human Life

God is the giver of life. God created us; thus, life is precious and to be preserved. We are called to defend human life at every age.

  • Stewardship

Christian stewardship is the free and joyous activity of the child of God and God’s family, the church, in managing all of life and life’s resources for God’s purposes.

We have been given responsibility for the wise and caring use of all the resources and life that God has made available to us throughout the world. We support the work of God through our resources of time, talent, and treasure. Everything we have is a gift from Him and is to be used to His glory.

  • Triumphant Return of Jesus

Jesus promised His people that He would return on the Last Day, a day unknown to us. At that time there will be a judgment of all people of all time.

  • New Heaven and a New Earth for Eternity

On the Last Day all believers in Jesus Christ will be ushered into a new heaven and new earth where God's righteous will live. It will be a reunion with all the saints in a place unmarred by sin, death, pain, and sorrow. The righteous will bask in God's glory for eternity.
